Nintendo is Looking at Sucess and More of It

The Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii were released about a month ago to the day and have joined Microsoft's Xbox 360 in the next generation of video games. While gamers have a lot to choose from (or not, depending on your loyalty) There is a part of the market that "doesn't play video games". Those types of "video games" include ones with a steep learning curve, are "too involved" or require time and energy to earn an end reward.

Nintendo is looking success in the eyes by "reinventing the basics of square 1". The Nintendo Wii, formerly known as the Nintendo Revolution, sought to revolutionize gameplay and get people to play together. It has... among many things being impossible to find, brought people together to play games that are fun. While going back to simplicity and "choosing options with a remote", Nintendo has NOT forgotten their fans and loyal customers. Titles such as Zelda: Twilight Princess and the new Super Monkey Ball game have given fans a rich taste of what they want, and intruiging new players to play.

The presentation of the Wii is phenominal. Parental control enable parents to make a purchasing decision without feeling guilty of junior putting in the next Resident Evil game shooting up mad zombies. Controls are simple, and most games are easy to follow. The Wii does not feature a DVD Drive for playing DVDs or listening to CDs, but it does give back more than what it owes for amazing graphics for such a small console (example Zelda- Twilight Princess). The Wii sells for $250, something that is PERFECT for people who spend Christmas gifts on a budget, for children and family. The Wii isn't just gamer friendly; soon it will emerge to become people friendly. Gone are the requirements for state of the art graphics, bring back the good times Nintendo; make the games fun to play again. Immersion factor:: 10++
