Bandai Namco Missing A Market with Soon-To-Be-Released Armored Core V
Armored Core has always been a successful series ever since it hit the Playstation back in 1997. As I looked at gameplay footage of this upcoming game, I began to ask one big question:
"Why not bring the Armored Core series to the PC?"
Perhaps Bandai-Namco doesn't see any profit in the PC market. One thing I do not like about some Japanese game makers is that they do not fully embrace global trends with their video games- instead they focus on Japan first, THEN export it to the US and Europe. AC5 should be available January 3rd 2012 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, to my knowledge.
For those that don't know me, I am not shallow enough to ignore a game based on graphics. I play Armored Core for the fights and the customization. If you are asking yourself "he only wants AC on the PC for a graphics upgrade", you are partially right. Console games are lagging several years behind today's PCs, and I would love to see a PC make of Armored Core. On the other hand, multiplayer would EXPLODE if the series came to the PC, and for the past six or seven years, Armored Core has seriously lacked in its multiplayer capabilities.
I certainly think it's worth the investment.
