In search for my Nintendo Wii (have one secured to pick up soon as soon as I can wait in line for it =)) I found Elfen Lied, FINALLY on DVD. I must offer a disclaimer as I did with Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni.
Elfen Lied is the first anime series I am rating at an "A" for "Adult Only" rating, however it deserves a rating nonetheless because it is an amazing and somewhat deep anime. There is more blood gore and guts in Elfen Lied than in any anime I have ever seen. The amount of gore and language is BEYOND TV-MA. The OP is safe to watch for TV-MA, but the anime series should only be picked up if you enjoyed a preview of it, or more or less my review without giving away too many hints. Im almost through the DVDs, and it's a pity that the series is 13 episodes long.
A lot of people ask about the opening Song. As far as I know it is titled "Lilium" and is sung in latin.
