Alter Bridge's New Album AB III (Incredible)

Alter Bridge released their new Album, AB III not too long ago- and it definitely doesn't disappoint. I've listened to the album a few times now, and I can say they have successfully one upped themselves. This album in question is a lot darker than Blackbird, which was a lot darker than One Day Remains. Despite the darkness, and the story of of a fictional character lost in a world of despair, a message can be heard from this album: "search for the truth, fall into the light, and make things right."

To quote some of the lyrics:

Dark
"Slip to the void, to the dark. What have you done? You don't belong here".
"You should never come this way; to test the hands of fate".
"You touch and you obey; denial."
"Dig your hole, doubt is alive and you know"
"Left to break in the cold, in the void that you made"
"The ritual has begun"
"Isolation; brings you to the end; until you love again"
"Lost to live this cruel reality"
"Yesterday is gone, and we can't go back again".
"It's so hard letting go, of the one thing I can't replace".
"You called out in vein, for a God to behold, inside".

Light
"If you could only see, what will come to be".
"With innocence we would glide beneath the stars"
"What a wonderful life, for as long as you have been by my side".
"Now is not forever".
"Touch the light that calls me home".
"In the end you'll find what you deserve"
"We all fall, you wouldn't be the first"
"Surrender your faith no more".
"Yeah I know it hurts".
" To rise above the hands that try to pull me down"
"Safe at last, in your arms".
"Life must go on. It must go on".
"Pay no mind at all".
"Into the light may you fall, truth, alone".

All lyrics are written by Alter Bridge and heavily (to my knowledge) by Mark Tremonti. This album is absolutely amazing, and this band is incredible. Their melodic and progressive music has inspired me, and this album resonates from a deep corner in my heart that reflects the deep and dark toil I had to go through, to get where I am today. I'll give this album a 95%, the highest score I have given an album to date.
