Playlists
I'm a big fan of Alternative Rock, Alternative Metal, Metal, Rock, and some Alternative Pop. I also like some country to an extent [not the religious crap]. Here are some playlists that I think "kick ass". I strongly dislike R&B, Hip Hop, or Rap, so you won't see those kind of playlists here.

Ra- An under the radar band that deserves more attention then they are getting. Amazing. I'm a hardcore Creed fan- and Ra kicks them in the tush. In my opinion, on par with Alter Bridge. *****
Creed- a post grunge band that had its start in the early 2000s. Good vocals and melodies. Some of these songs are memorable, though their earlier work is questionable as "good". ****
Alter Bridge- a group that formed in 2004 as a split off of Creed. Revolutionary band in the art of Alternative Rock and Post Grunge, if you can call it that. This is one band to fall in love with. In my opinion, on par with Ra. *****
Goo Goo Dolls- a group that came out in the 90s and had some great hits. I'd classify them as rock and alternative rock, despite their raging popularity in the mainstream. I could not locate any studio tracks on youtube. ****
Barenaked Ladies- another group that debuted in the 90s that had some great music. Original sound, great songs. Some of those radio hits you heard were probably from them. Semi-popular group, Alternative. Couldn't locate any studio tracks on youtube. ****
Third Eye Blind- a now insanely popular band that is not today's mainstream. Original music, and has to be heard. Alternative rock and Alternative. Couldn't locate any studio tracks on youtube. *****
The B52s- New Wave beat from the early 90s. THE party music, also some good music. ****
The Beatles- I question their earlier work, but someone brought in Rock Band Beatles, and this music is, and was, revolutionary. *****
Metallica- Defined the heavy metal genre with some other groups in the 80s and 90s. Some great hits, but some say they have gone soft since the 2000s. *****
Pearl Jam- Another rock classic that should be enjoyed. Unique sound, and some great hits. *****
Alice in Chains- Another rock classic group. Unique sounds and some great music. *****
Tom Petty- I'm a Tom Petty fan, shutup =p. He can jam well and has some great songs. ****
Fleetwood Mac- As old as I will go. Some of their songs are pretty good. ****
Bruce Springsteen- An icon in some lights- I enjoyed his music and original beat. ****
Switchfoot- I stop short of calling them a mix of new wave and alternative rock. Original beats and some excellent music. A little mainstream for me. *****
Rammstein- Rammstein [is Rammstein.] is heavy german metal/industrial metal. *****
Judas Priest- Another classic hard core metal group that was revolutionary in their work. *****
Audioslave- Some great music. ****

The ones above are ones worth mentioning, in my eyes at least. I have heard other groups like Nickelback and what not in the alternative scene, but they only have a few good songs. Tal Bachman had only one good song I liked. There are many more I listen to, but those are off the top of my head. Great music.
