Yeah I feel just as bad about it, but it seems Nintendo is delaying the launch of Super Smash Bros. Brawl to a TBD state. Rumors have said that it will be released Feb 20 2008, but Nintendo has confirmed that the game will not reach Japan until January 24 2007. Sorry Smash Bros. fans, the game is on wait for a bit.
While I love the graphics and the wide array of characters, I think it was a wrong decision on Nintendo's part to introduce Sonice the Hedgehog and Solid Snake into the game; they are not original Nintendo characters in their own respects: Snake belonging to Konami and Sonic to Sega. Solid Snake battling Pikachu sounds fun: but it is purely imaginatory to say that both are classic Nintendo characters duking it out. I just feel like the game has lost a bit of it's authenticity by adding non-nintendo characters.
