Now I don't play the miniatures game per se, but lately there have been a lot of people coming into the TCG forums commenting on the Miniatures game, saying that no one has replied from Upper Deck regarding the future of the miniatures game.
The WOW TCG has shared some big success with the CCG market as a solid and easy to start card game. Miniatures players have questioned why the minis engine has lost steam, and I can post my reasons for not playing the miniatures game. The biggest one would be storage of miniatures; I don't have the room to store them. Second, the booster pack prices are high in relation to what you are getting (I think it is 3 minis per pack at $8.99 or something). If the WOW TCG is making UDE money, then they will continue producing it; but it appears that the miniatures game is not making the company money, and the last I heard, their development department for the game was outsourced. This is not good.
On a similar note, people keep posting time and time again around this time of year that:
1) The WOW TCG is going away.

2) The WOW TCG is dying
3) The WOW TCG is in a coma
and none of these items are true, at all. Around January time, a lull is experienced for two reasons, the next product release is in April 2010, and UDE employees are out of the office and at home enjoying their time with family/friends. Loot cards have given this game strong sales, the game sells itself, and it was confirmed by Upper Deck Entertainment that they are fully planning on going through with their 2010 product schedule, including:
WOW TCG Class Starter Decks

and other undisclosed products (that they won't tell us!) for 2010. In fact, for the few years I have played the card game, I have come to expect that around this time of year people start to complain when UDE leaves the office. Chill out people!
