I picked this model up at my local Reading Hobbytown (I live down at Penn State now) and I am impressed with my work on this kit. I weathered the deck to give it the feeling that it was slightly used and I thought the hull wouldn't come out great in gold: it actually did. So the kit is going together great and I am really happy with it. I hope I can work on it next week by gluing the masts and mast platforms, then do some good ole' rigging. On that note, the rigged anchor went together perfectly, the first time rigging has worked with me and not against me.
