OOT for the 3Ds Released

Nintendo recently released Ocarina of Time 3D for the 3Ds. If you have not played this game in the past, now is an excellent time to get acquainted with why Zelda is so popular. I have heard good reviews all around, from gaming websites to friends. It is a new spin on an old classic. In the remake, towns and dungeons have been re-textured and updated. Link has new textures. Items have been simplified, and I am told that Ocarina is very intuitive.

The original game introduced many elements into gaming that are still used today. Z-targeting (targeting in general), live tutorials (assistance by an NPC), item selection screen enhancements, and more. For those that began with the experience in the late 1990s- Zelda will always hold a place in our hearts. I began playing Zelda in the early 1990s with the SNES release, and I can't give it up.

Right now, the Street Fighter release and OOT 3Ds are the only reasons to really own a 3Ds. Apart from these two titles, the launch lineup for the new handheld was incredibly disappointing, even depressing. We will see what is coming down the pipeline: hopefully in a year I can say the exact opposite: that there will be many reasons to enjoy the 3Ds.
