1/700 CV10 Work

Well I tried a test fit of the BB-55 and CV-10 yesterday evening and the ships are way too close together. I cannot easily locate another base so it looks like I may have to go searching for a smaller subject to escort the Yorktown (I am going to attempt to hunt down a 1/700 DD-445 Fletcher). I can add the USS North Carolina escorting the USS Essex, a future purchase, at a later date. The water came out absoloutly fantastic. I was thinking that if the paint and acrylic gel medium came out this well then what are the possibilities with airbrush/ a mix of colors? If I remember correctly on the inlets of islands in Japan (Iwo-Jima?) the water was a slighter green. I've had 110% success with waterline models so I will be doing quite a few of them in the near future. No lower hull to worry about!
