Even More CO2 Racecar Shennanigans!
Sorry folks the scanner is broken at the moment. Here are my plans for Firebird III, the third Firebird in my Firebird series. This design will TOTALLY kick booty on raceday. Let's see if this can beat the teacher (master) or get close.....
The problem with the project is, that the car is made out of a very light and fragile wood called Balsa Wood. It flexes easy, is easy to handle and work with, but it will break with a small flick of the wrist. If the car is not engineered properly, the axel will be coming out of the hole and the tires flying off in different directions on the race track. Other than an outline of my plan, I will not release any further details to the car until the end of races.
The car was designed in mind to lowly ride the air column, and have those exra air pockets large enough to help propel the craft forward. Since this car is not powered by an engine, but a co2 canister, we can consider this a Land Assault Vehicle, basically a rocket car strapped with a huge tank. As such, the aerodynamics should be treated like one. Let's see if my design can piece the air and rival that of a Master....
Note: At the time of this posting, Firebird III is in "Phase 3" of development.
