According to 2K games (the parent of Gearbox), Borderlands 2 has become the third most pre-ordered game that they have released. Stating "excited optimism and blatant recognition of support for the franchise", it seems that 2K may be interested in holding onto this little gem and continue making games well after September 18, 2012's release.
Gearbox, a few months after the release of The Secret Armory of General Knoxx reported that DLC sales were plentiful. Many gamers and analysts agree that Borderlands "did DLC right". A little while ago, Gearbox confirmed that Borderlands 2 is their most pre-ordered game to date, promising the awesome mechanics of the first game "made better".
From the footage I have seen of demos, we are in for a treat. Borderlands 2 releases September 18th. I've already pre-ordered it.
