Worldbreaker Sneak Peak- Jaenel

Jaenel is an interesting (and new) hero card being introduced as an alliance paladin in the upcoming booster set: Worldbreaker. I would like to take a brief moment and comment on the awesome card art here- especially the background! The back of the card also has some awesome art.

At this time, I was actually planning a retadin deck- and it was horde. This though... I may reconsider my plans and switch to alliance. Who knows? Not all of the cards have been revealed yet. At the cost of 4, you can flip Jaenel, and on that side, she retains her health and gains Assault 1. This may not seem like a lot, but it is a nice little boost.

I wonder what cards will go good with her in classic constructed? Let's have a look at a database here... [Presence of the Divine] is a nice staple for board control, and you may want to use it depending on your retadin strategy- make this more of a solo deck, or pack on the allies? [Divine Storm] is also a no brainer, so if we include [Divine Storm], we will need some equipment cards; for melee decks I keep around 9-14 weapons available. [Divine Shield] is an oldie, but it may prove to be a nice surprise to your opponent. [Divine Shield] also provides an answer for Warrior/Death Knight/Priest/Warlock/Whatever dots.

Also, depending on your retadin strategy, you may also want to consider [Avenging Wrath] for doubling your heroes attack mid to late game. If you are not a fan of [Avenging Wrath] then perhaps a newer card, [Blessing of the Templar] will tickle your fancy. This card is expensive, BUT gives your hero Assault 3 AND Mend 3. What a nice combo! fits paladins exactly. [Hammer of Justice] is still a good staple from the old days, and I always recommend it for paladins. [Holy Fury] is also a good card to consider in the sideboard against DOTs or another mechanisms.

Other than those considerations, I don't want to dwelve too far into deck building possibilities- after all, we haven't seen the rest of Worldbreaker yet! I look forward to more previews!
