Arena Grand Melee hits WoW TCG

So we have seen Blood of Gladiators released so far this year and now we are getting ready for Fields of Honor and Arena Grand Melee was released earlier last week.

Arena Grand Melee is a new way to play the traditional 1 on 1 card game in the WoW TCG by adding a AGM deck in the center of the game. One card is drawn every ready step of every player's turn, and the cards can ask you to do anything from making phone calls to flipping cards at the ceiling. It promises for a great multiplayer experience for the casual and competitive alike. Some hardcore players are critisizing the release though, expressing their disappointment in the lack of viable tournament legal cards from the set, although they do exist. The reviews have been generally rave and support is great for the set.

We don't know yet what Fields of Honor holds for us, but we do know from a forum post that we will see a significant power boost as HFI (Hunt for Illidan) did for the block 2 metagame. The game is getting to be a lot more fun than it was, with more ways to kill your opponent. I feel that Upper Deck should expand a bit upon all 27 talent specs rather than focus on specific strategies, but then again it depends on your playstyle- Restoration Druids arn't good in 1 on 1 but can be a beast in raids or 2v2 or 3v3.

Stay tuned for more! Preorder Fields of Honor at www.starcitywow.com .
