Boohoo for Money Bags (Stop Trying): No Joy on Nintendo

And no, I am not a moneybags; I am running on low just like you.

Forget the Playstation 3 until March. Your chances of grabbing a Nintendo Wii are slim to none as 10 million units are to roll out into the USA by December 14th. For the 300 million in this country, 150 million being kids or teenagers, and another 20 million wanting the Wii, thats about 170 million people wanting a system over the course of a year or so.

I went out early this morning to a not well-known EB Games to get my Wii. As I arrived, there was a HALF OF A MILE LONG LINE to get only the 6 units that came in stock. I wish you the best of luck in your search for a Wii, but only if you can handle going to hundreds of places leaving empty handed. I HIGHLY encourage you to stop looking (like myself) and simply wait until more Wii units are available and the craze is over.

Yes I am very upset. Yes I am very frustrated; but that does not get us a Wii, does it? The only reasonable thing to do is to give it a couple of weeks, but that may not be enough. Give it a couple of months until something springs up. Its not EB Games or Wal*Marts or Target's fault. Its not the consumer's fault, either for wanting to spend close to $300. Its not our fault and it's not the game store's fault. Guess whose fault it is?

^ (April 5th, 2007) Heh I was pretty steamed ^^ Wii is still hard to find, going into April 2007.
