FCC Looks to Add Net Neutrality Rules for USA: GO GO GO!!!!

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5jgJce6q7W6GS_qlPWspwJQO998ZgD9AQKBL80

To make this short and sweet, here is the situation. Companies like Comcast are restricting download/uploads to 4GB a month (tiny). I can understand if they limit the down/up to say, 200GB a month (I don't know average rates) but the FCC is looking to intervene with Comcast and other ISPs. Comcast can block, interrupt or inhibit the flow of free information on their network- in short, if they don't want you to see something, they will stop it. I look forward to Comcast's boning and this is a good chance to root for the FCC. I won't pay for Comcast, and afaik I have down/uploaded NOT like a maniac (and over 4 gigs) every week or so and I am satisfied.

WOW TCG- Extra Hands, Paladin to the Rescue‏

I piloted our last Black Temple raid, and it has been a long time since I saw a legitimate Black Temple attempt. The usual happened however- and I was disappointed. The priest didn't have any dispells, the tank could not hold aggro early game, and major players of Black Temple were not interrupted.

There were times when pressure was put on the boss, but instead of the boss pressuring raiders, the raiders need to think our of the box and pressure the raider. What kind of DPS can continually keep up the attack and at the same time help fulfill other roles? A hybrid, or balanced out Paladin.

Hero (Horde)
Addisyn the Untouchable

Abilities (24)
4x Uplifting Prayer
4x Concentration Aura
4x Blessing of Kings
4x Blessing of Trials
4x Inspiring Lights
4x Lay on Hands

Allies (24) Horde
4x Blood Knight Kyria
4x Bloodwatcher Danissa
4x Elder Narando
4x Samuel Harrison
4x Canissa the Shadow
4x Himul Longstrider

Quests (8)
4x Proving Grounds
4x Rise and be Recognized
4x Arathi Basin

This deck will keep the pressure up from turn 2. It contains allies for the mid game, and if they survive, Blessing of Kings will help a ton. Blessing of Trials will help where AOE damage is done, or if the boss singles out an ally of yours. Uplifting prayer is your trump card, and it should be protected by playing Concentration Aura. Inspiring Light is a great off spec heal, and allows you to draw a card. Lay on Hands is a handy last ditch maneuver that can heal someone back up to full life, but leave you vulnerable.

Blood Knight Kyria, especially in Paladin decks is a staple. Bloodwatcher Danissa acts as the Mikael Blunt of the Horde, Elder Narando and Himul Longstrider will provide cover fire. Canissa can stop bomb cards for a turn (sometimes a turn is all you need) and Samuel Harrison is in there for a little protection. If the owner wishes to switch to PVP, you can perhaps switch out Samuel Harrison for 4x Silvermoon City.

Keeping the DPS ongoing in any raid is very important, if the boss dies at the right time, you can stop him or her from causing unnecessary carnage that will only set back the raid. This is a good deck to have around. I am also ordering it =).

Congress and White House: I agree with Raptor Exports

In the news, a Senate panel seeks an end to the ban on exporting the F-22 Raptor because of the stealth technology it contained. In the senate, a vote of 30-0 confirmed that Congress wishes to remove the ban and export the raptor to allies such as Austrailia, Japan and Israel- all clients who express interest in the raptor.

Lockheed had no immediate comment, but I am sure engineers will work to either protect programs and tactics, or downgrade the technology (so "our" planes are slightly better). Lockheed makes money, and the F22 program can continue. This will also increase jobs and allow money to be spent in the defense budget, which means more money can be directed elsewhere that would have went to defense.

I agree with removing the export ban. I also congratulate Congress on turning down the second engine proposal for the F35 fighter- they already have a contract, and the engine part is critical to the F35. Changing the engine means more tests to make sure the F35 can take the stress, and older models will have to be retrofitted and reverse engineered (possibly). In short, it is a waste of money to make changes to a product already out.

Good job guys. Not everything you do is perfect, but here and there the US Government does a couple of smart things.

Content with College Progress

Looking at my progress in college, I am satisfied with where I am at, but not with the environmental conditions (economy, etc, misc). It will take me an additional semester or two to complete my degree, but I believe the extra semester will establish a stronger base in areas that I am weak. I will admit that I have weaknesses, even in my own major- but I am working on them.

Demonology Warlock- Plague Fleshbane

Demonology Warlock- Plague Fleshbane

Demonology Warlock is a spec often overlooked in the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game. With the increase in popularity of mage and paladin decks, many players forget the assistance a warlock can provide to the raid scene and their competitiveness in PVP.Demonology Warlocks are concerned with the summoning of demon allies, powering them up and then supporting their demons. Because demonology has fewer cards available than affliction, Demonology specs often have to combine with either affliction or destruction. The following deck combines with destruction to offer ally removal.

Since many powerful late game cards in demonology are costly, it is imperative that the warlock hold off until around turn six to plan his moves. While many decks begin planning around this stage, it is important that the warlock have a strategy to delay into the late game without falling into a trap. The deck:

Hero: Plague Fleshbane

Allies (24)
4x Dread Infernal
4x Haaroon
4x Velnoth
4x Bloodsoul
4x Dethvir the Malignant
4x Aknot Whetstone

Equipment (4)
4x Essence Gatherer

Abilities (21)
3x Unholy Power
4x Fel Pact
4x Eye of Kilrogg
4x Soulshatter
3x Suspended Curse
3x Swallow Soul

Quest (12)
4x Proving Grounds
4x Rise and be Recognized
4x Forces of Jaedenar

Kind of Bored with WowTCG.com

WOWTCG.com was a place I always went to to study decks, ask questions on rulings, or look for general posts.

So why am I bored with it? I am not a competitive player. Almost every single post has been in regards to some kind of tournament, whether it be a regional, national, or worldwide tournament. Looking at these competitive decks is great, but when it comes around the corner, I really don't care about the competitive scene.

In any spare time I get, I like building WOW decks. I still havn't been paid for the past two weeks of work, so I need to wait before updating a deck or two. I am kind of disappointed that there are no real posts on anything other than tournaments. Even the official blog posts on the website are about tournaments. Maybe this is the season for tournaments. I like holding tournaments here at campus too, but it just isn't my thing to be a "competitive" player; I like having fun with people in my spare time.

Naxxramas will be released in early November 2009. I am looking forward to learning that deck, and I am looking forward to the next block of cards (Block 4, Scourge War). The WOW TCG is still a lot of fun, there are so many deck possibilities, but alas, with college expenses and a huge taxing on my time, I don't have the funds or the time to pursue deck building the way I want to.
